About Artist
Faryal Yazdanie is a multidisciplinary artist, born in Turkey and raised in Pakistan. She graduated with honors from the National College of Arts in 2018. Faryal has held multiple exhibitions in Islamabad and Karachi and has received awards such as the 'French Embassy Award' for her first performance art piece titled 'Real and Its Double' in 2019. Her work often reflects her personal relationship with the world and her connected ideas. Mentored by Aqeel Solangi, she has participated in several group exhibitions, including 'Lal Jadoo' with Amin Gulgee and other renowned artists. Faryal also runs a startup aimed at promoting emerging artists and fostering creativity. Her latest project was a public installation in Islamabad addressing social atrocities and injustice, which was described as 'a shocking installation' by the BBC and praised by social activists. Faryal believes that art is the only truth left to pursue in an age of information overload and subjective ideologies. Additionally, she collaborates with brands on various campaign ideas and product designs for fashion and lifestyle brands.
